Lakeside’s most important resource is the people who work here!

In order to staff, provide pay and benefits, promote health care, and properly train thousands of team members, Lakeside has a human resources department that features five separate areas: Recruiting, Personnel, Payroll, Health Services, and Training. Up to 65 employees, from a variety of backgrounds, work hard to ensure that our employees receive a high level of support from the company.

The core function of Recruiting is to ensure Lakeside has the best employees to fill up to 2,700 full-time permanent positions. This includes interviews within the plant and regular recruitment trips across Canada.

Depending on regional economic and employment conditions, Lakeside has travelled the country, hiring workers in every Canadian province.

We have hired people from all provinces and territories, as well as new Canadians from dozens of countries around the world.

he common denominator of our employees is a desire to secure full-time permanent employment and to work towards making Lakeside Canada’s premiere beef plant.
